Currency
The Dirham (Dh) is the basic
monetary unit of UAE. One Dh=100 fils
Denominations of the paper currency are 1000, 500,
200, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5
coins in Dh 1 and fils 50, 25, 10 and 5.
There
are no restrictions on import and export of both
local and foreign currencies. Hotel bills are
accepted in cash, traveller’s cheques or credit
cards.
