Mall of the Emirates Located off Sheikh Zayed Road, near 4th Interchange. the most ambitious retail and leisure project to date, the eagerly awaited Mall of the Emirates opened its doors in September 2005. There were over 300 retail openings for the launch day, which would be a record for any mall in the world. The range and variety of stores at the mall is outstanding with the largest collection of international and local brands in the middle-east all housed under one roof.
Mall of the Emirates’ eagerly anticipated range of family entertainment is also on schedule to open with the mall. A 14 screen Cinestar complex and a new two-level Magic Planet family entertainment centre including indoor roller coasters and simulators will also open today. The highly anticipated Ski Dubai snow park is now also open. In April 2006, the offering will be extended again with the opening of a Kempinski 5-star resort hotel and the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre, as planned. The architecture in the 3 storey complex combines Arabic and Mediterranean influences, with each level linked to a car park.

Al Ghurair Centre was the first purpose-built shopping mall in Dubai. The mall has over 250 shops on two levels and sells reasonably priced goods when compared to other speciality and designer clothes stores in other malls. It is conveniently located at Riqqa Road in Deira.

Al Khaleej Centre, located in Bur Dubai (opposite the Ramada Hotel) offers a wide variety of goods of interest to both men as well as women. There are plenty of jeans stores - from fashionable jeans to designer jeans.

Bur Juman Centre, located in Bur Dubai, is a large and modern mall. Many of Dubai's haute couture outlets are found here as also popular American and European brands such as Bally, Calvin Klein, Escada, Guess, Mexx, Rivoli, Tiffany & Co etc. The mall has unique fountains spaced several metres apart that shoot precise jets of water at each other.

Deira City Centre has a very large range of goods on offer - antiques, jewellery, carpets, watches, electronic goods and houses a huge IKEA furniture showroom as also Woolworth and the largest sports store in the Persian Gulf - Sun and Sand. Continent Supermarket (they call themselves a hypermarket) sells both food as well as non-food items. The hypermarket has frequent promotions and can get very crowded on weekends (Thursday and Friday).

Galleria Shopping Mall is located in Hyatt Regency Hotel. It's main attraction is the ice skating rink.

Hamarain Centre, located near Dubai Cinema, is a French style mall and has some unusual goods on sale not normally seen in Dubai.

Ibn Battuta Mall
The Ibn Battuta Mall concept has been based on the travels of the famous 18th century explorer Ibn Battuta.  The mall will exhibit six country themed shopping zones to reflect Battuta’s travels through Andalusia, Tunisia, Egypt, Persia, India and China.  Located between interchanges 5 and 6 on Sheikh Zayed Road, the mall’s location was chosen after thorough feasibility research into the viability of the area was conducted.

Lamcy Plaza is a theme mall with the Tower Of London as its theme! A dummy of a clown permanently climbs up and down a rope tied to the ceiling.

Wafi Shopping Mall has a distinctive roof - three glass pyramids. The shops here are quality outlets though there are shops such as 'Sharper Edge' that sell unusual items not seen elsewhere. A side of the mall has a very impressive  stained window stretching up right to the roof and looks very dramatic when viewed from the outside at night.
