Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club
Another
feather on its hat, another od Dubai’s
international course’s is located in the centre of
an 80-hectare, gigantic sports and leisure complex
which includes a 115-berth marina. Located on the
banks of the Dubai creek near to the city center and
the Dubai International Airport, it is on par with
the Emirates Club. Ornamental lakes and 3 seawater
hazards appear within the main 18-hole, par 72
course, which is 6,956 yards long. The cunning
doglegs along the fairways and bunkers are a
challenge to every player. The completely floodlit
9-hole par 3-course facilitates 24- hour practice.
In 1995, the club made rightly made its debut as a
venue on the Asian PGA Tour, by being the only ever
golfing center to host events on both the European
and Asian circuits. A 45-metre high club house
designed in the shape of the billowing sails of a
traditional Arabian dhow, exhibits the seafaring
culture of the city. Visitors can pay-as-they play
or hire equipment.
