License to operate
from JAFZ
In
order to operate from the Free Zone, you should have
secured the following licenses.
1.
Industrial License
2.
Trading License
3.
Service Permit
4.
National Industrial
License.
Trading License
Companies
holding a valid license issued by the Dubai Economic
Department or
an equivalent authority in UAE shall be eligible for trading license in the
Free Zone. Free
Zone Establishments
( FZE)and Companies incorporated out side UAE
are also eligible.
But the activities permitted in the Free Zone
must conform to the trading activities in the
existing licenses.
Industrial License
Industrial
licenses are issued to FZE
as well as other
industrial units registered in or out of UAE.
Service License
This
is granted only to companies holding a UAE License.
National
Industrial License.
This
is issued to Industrial companies operating in or
out of UAE. But
these companies should have 51% of their equity
capital
contribution from GCC. Besides,
there must be a minimum of 40% value addition to
their product.
The
license holder shall have all rights similar to
National or other GCC companies.
Their exports to GCC countries
shall be exempted
from Customs duties.
Multiple Licenses
A
company can engage itself in more than one of these
activities provided it has a separate license for
each of the category involved.
Free Zone
Establishments
Company
holding Free Zone license can purchase goods or
service with in UAE by itself.
They are permitted to work in Jebel Ali zone
as well as outside
UAE. Operation
with in UAE has to be through a Commercial agent,
Representative or Distributor or by the parent
company licensed by the UAE authority.
