The evening features the Dubai World Cup, the world's richest horse race, supported by the UAE Derby and the Dubai Kahayla Classic for Purebred Arabians. The Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Sheema Classic, Dubai Golden Shaheen and Godolphin Mile will complete a night of history.
The Dubai World Cup is firmly established as the most international race meeting in the world. Featuring five Group 1 races, and two Group 2 races, and offering a total of US $15.25 million prize money, the race programme attracts the very best Thoroughbreds and Arabians from the Middle East, North and South America, Europe, Australasia and the Far East.
In its short life span, the Dubai World Cup has surpassed all expectations, and has set new precedents in the standards of excellence offered throughout. From the first class training facilities at Nad Al Sheba racetrack, to the superb hospitality and entertainment facilities extended to guests and visitors, every detail is meticulously planned and co-ordinated by an experienced Committee and team of dedicated staff.
The event stands at pole position in the region as the main attraction in an array of sporting and glittering social occasions hosted by Dubai, attended by an impressive list of celebrities and dignitaries and visitors from around the globe. The atmosphere on the racenight and at the preceding events is unrivalled, and attendance will reach 65,000 accommodated in the stunning Grandstand facilities, and ever expanding International Village.
The planning and co-ordination processes extend to a full 12-months of the year, and the loyal support and services provided by a number of key sponsors and associates is a huge attribute to the successes achieved. The Dubai Racing Club value existing partners, and welcome the opportunity to create new associates to further opportunities to enhance the value and status of the event.
A total of 200 horses from 20 countries and representing 79 trainers came to Dubai to compete in the Carnival for a total of US$25,000,000 in prize-money.
The 2006 Burjuman Style Stakes gives race goers a rare chance to dress to impress. Fabulous prizes are being offered for the 2006 event for the Best Dressed Lady, Runner Up and Best Dressed Couple and the Milliner's Award for the Best Hat.
The Picnic Garden,
a private enclosure located close to the track rails
on the 9th fairway, allows guests to enjoy the
delights of their pre ordered hampers prepared by
Jumeirah Hospitality. A selection of menus is
available for a minimum of 2 guests starting from
Dhs 400/- per hamper, which are all presented within
a souvenir hamper.
The Millennium
Terrace encompassing the entire level 2 is for
reserved grandstand seating and will provide the
convenience of a dining area on the open concourse
overlooking the track along with licensed beverage
outlets
